This is an alert signal from a real fire station. I tried to make a sound how they wanted it, and what i believe what was needed. Few things like 1) start softly to ease it when waking up in the night 2) some pauses for better recognition of speech or other signals heard same time 3) good cut trough background noise or whatever, stressless but good cut trough 3) limited length before announcement.

Birds twittering in a suburban forestal park. Good for looping it to a longer sound. Some background noises are included, so it will work as athmosphere, but not as an stand-alone sound. Recorded with zoom h4n and canon eos 600d. - please feel free to rate the sound!.

The sound is a contact mic'ed piece of pvc pipe which has a drawstring from a pair of shorts tied to it. The sound is the drawstring being plucked. It's could be good for bass lines. The sound was processed slightly in goldwave (some noise reduction/eq adjustments/fading).

My floureon bm 800 tends to get a loud buzz when not used for a while. . . And a good old smack literally fixes it. I did this naturally for this sound sample, but i figured it would make an interesting sound to post here. Made on fl5 back in 2005 for one of my first rap beats. . Used a pluck instrument on fl5 to create this loop. Has a harmony on the second time around on a higher octave.

This sound i did create with cubase daw. It's based on the sound "guitar harmonics" of cubase and i added the following effects : multi delay, chorus and phaser. It's only one track. Samplerate : 48 000 khzit's free to use. It might be a good background sound for special scenes in games, movies or videos.

Small crowd on a ferry wharf at circular quay in sydney, australia. Generic background chatter and city hum. Good general purpose small crowd sound, can also pass for a big interior because of the wharf acoustics.

This sound was made in fl studio for a video game with an 8-bit style. It's fast-paced and very retro sounding. Gives a good lively 80s or 90s vibe.

I combined an ambient bar crowd recording that i found here with a funky little back beat that i also found on this site and made a great cubicle noise blocker / filter. I use this at work with headphones on when i'm trying to concentrate and drown out conversations in the office. Also good for when i work from home and i'm trying to drown out the tv and other distractions. The crowd noise is excellent at diffusing regular office conversation and the little funky back beat keeps the crowd noise from getting boring. This works really well even at fairly low volume i. E. You dont have to crank it loud to drown out the distractions. Hope you like it and thanks to everyone for the great sounds on this site. Wav(ls)ps - i purposely let the crowd noise run out for a few seconds at the end so that you can appreciate the full groove of the hip hop. Wav. Has a nice effect when you loop the whole thing, gives you a little break from the crowd noise. Almost like you're stepping out of the room for a second.

While editing the sound i posted prior to this, some sort of glitch in logic's system gave me this. I made sure to keep it for freesound. It's just a few seconds of a glitchy, vocal-esque sound. Already mixed it together somewhat. It might be good for dj's.

I created this sound by taking two large cobblestone blocks and hit one against the other. Good for sound design. There is a little rattle on some of the heavier hits, it couldn't be helped since the block is so heavy.

Not quite as fun as the title makes it sound but still a good hydraulic whooshing sound i made with my tascam dr-40x on a small tripod underneath my bed as i lifted and pushed down on the hydraulic hinge. Filtered and eq'd a bit for some room buzz.

This is a recording of an analogue bass synthesizer, made by focusrite saffire pro 26. It's a smooth sound with an instant attack and two final wobble created with an lfo. The sound has been equalized and compressed and some reverb mixed with an aux. 140 bpm. Good fun.
